Proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Israel is right where they belong

It is regrettable that so many people today have bought into the lie that the State of Israel is an occupying force in Palestine and they should give back the land to the Palestinian people.

Helen Thomas’ recent bigoted and anti-semitic comments cost her great embarrassment and (probably) her job as a White House reporter for Hearst Newspapers after she hatefully exclaimed, “Tell them (Israel) to get out of Palestine…and go home to Poland, Germany, America, and everywhere else!”

Her statement implies that Israelis have no right to be in the land of Israel – a popular idea among Palestinian supporters which is historically and biblically untrue. As a seasoned reporter, she should have gotten her facts straight before she made her controversial blunder. Even the White House called her statement, “Offensive and reprehensible.”

The fact is that Israel has a legitimate claim to the land it owns as a nation. Rabbi Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center remarked:

“It is important to remember that the Jews are NOT in Palestine, they are in the State of Israel where they belong and where their ancestors have lived for 2,000 years.”

Please pray for the Jewish people – that they would come to know Yeshua as their Messiah and be allowed to live in peace in their homeland. Pray for the shalom of Jerusalem (Psalms 122:6,7).
