Understanding the Middle East Conflict

The State of Israel

God always keeps His promises

Why can’t the politicians ever mediate a workable, permanent peace plan between the Jewish state and the Palestinian Arabs? It’s very simple: The land of Israel belongs solely to the Jews; God will never allow it to be divided up. The Palestinian people need to look elsewhere for land outside the borders of Israel. The Palestinians certainly have a right to form their own state – just not in the land of Israel. There are vast numbers of areas in the Middle East where they could do so.

When Abraham first settled in the land of Israel thousands of years ago, God made this promise to Abraham: “Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are towards the north, south, east and west; for all the land which you can see, to you I will give it, and to your seed [Isaac’s offspring] forever” -Genesis 13:14-15 (JCV).

The promise was NOT made to Ishmael and his descendants (the Arabs and Palestinians). It was made only to the chosen heir, Isaac, and his descendants, the Jews. God promised the land of Israel to the Jewish people FOREVER. No politician is ever going to change God’s mind no matter how hard he tries.

Until the Politicians recognize that God always keeps His promises to the Jews, all their peace agreements and diplomatic efforts will be continually frustrated.

  1. Comment from Donna Brown: ” I seem to remember in history that the plan by the British was that the Jews have Israel and Jordan was given to the Palestinians. Did I miss something here?”

  2. Donna, You’re quite right. The Palestinians were given the vast territory of Jordan to freely settle in by the British. Why didn’t they? Why did they bring so much trouble upon themselves by trying to take away the land from the Jews?

  3. Comment from Donna Brown: “And wasn’t Jordon given half of Jerusalem at that time but then in 1967 they attacked Israel. The reason Israel has all of Jerusalem now is because they won that 6 day war against the invaders which not only included Jordon but Syria and Egypt as well? I am old enough to vaguely remember this.

And in 1971 (some where in that time period, all this is just from the top of my head, if I’m wrong on the exact dates or the incidents, don’t be afraid to correct me) During the Suez canal thing, weren’t there snipers on the Golan Heights–a waste land at the time with no one living there, I might add–attacking Israeli villages and that was the reason that Israel attacked and took possession?”

  4. Luis Yosefus: You’re right on, Donna. Thanks!

  5. Comment from Donna Brown: “Thank you! This isn’t rewritten history! Anyone can go back to the newsreels of the day and look at newspaper archives and find all this stuff, if anyone has any doubt of this being the truth.”
