The Rapture in an Atomic Second

Todays_Scripture_VerseTODAY’S SCRIPTURE VERSE: The Rapture in an Atomic Second

In describing the “catching away of believers” upon the return of Jesus Christ to the earth (the Rapture of the Church), the apostle Paul says it will happen in a split-second, in the twinkling of an eye. He uses the Greek word, Atomos, where we get Atom, or Atomic.

How fast is an atomic second?

Imagine the passing of a regular second from a conventional clock. A regular second can even be calculated to one-tenth of a second, one one-hundreth of a second, and one one-thousands of a second.

An atomic second is even faster. An atomic clock is a scientific time standard that regulates the oscillations of an atom particle – specifically the Cesium 133 isotope within an atom. So an atomic second is the interval of time taken to complete nine billion plus oscillations of the cesium 133 atom exposed to a suitable excitation. If you can image that, that’s how fast our bodies will be transformed into glorious bodies at the return of Jesus at the Rapture of the Church.

For further study of the Rapture of the Church, order my teaching message entitled, “The Rapture in an Atomic Second.”

“Behold, I tell you a mystery — a hidden truth: We shall not all die, but some of us will be changed and transforrmed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet of God will sound, and the dead in Christ will be raised and receive incurruptible bodies to live forever.” – 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 .
