Daily Inspiration – a dose of daily inspiration and encouragement from the Word of God.
Many single believers in Christ have been waiting upon God to bring them the right husband or wife that they will be happy with. In the meantime, the temptation to get involved with the wrong person is always looming. After all, online dating sites are constantly promoting their services, “Are you single? We’ve got thousands of eligible Christian singles looking for you!”
Those who have tried these online dating sites often complain about the horrific people they have met. So many are impostors posing as Christians on these sites. Others are just absolute wierdos.
So what is a godly Christian single person to do?
1. Delight yourself in the Lord – Concentrate on God and growing in your relationship with Him.
2. Trust God – He knows exactly what kind of person you need. Don’t just go by the outward appearance, ask God to show you a person’s heart.
3. Wait on the Lord – He doesn’t need the help of online dating sites. He will bring the right person into your life when you are ready. Is anything too hard for God?
“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this…” – Psalm 37:4-5
Today, if you’re struggling in your singleness, don’t lose heart. Trust God and stand on His promises to give you the desires of your heart. Read the Book of Ruth and be inspired by the story of how God brought Boaz and Ruth together in marriage, who later became the ancestors of Israel’s greatest earthly king, David.
