Jail Women for Abortion?

pro-life-marchIn the State of Texas, abortion laws are different than any other state in the U.S.

Texans have some of the most restrictive abortion laws. There are mandatory steps a woman must take before she is allowed to abort, such as viewing an ultrasound image of her baby, a waiting period of twenty-four hours (beginning after the woman’s in-office doctor’s consultation and ultrasound), and parental consent for minors. If seeking abortion-inducing medications, she must make four visits to a licensed physician. Violation of the Texas law is imprisonment of five years to life for destroying a viable fetus.

One lawmaker, Texas Representative Tony Tinderholt, is now proposing that women should be jailed if they commit an abortion – at any stage. He has introduced a bill that would completely ban abortion in Texas and directs state officials to ignore conflicting federal laws such as Roe vs. Wade.

What’s your opinion?

Do you think this proposed Texas law is too extreme against women? What about the men who participated in the sexual intercourse; aren’t they responsible too? After all, they are partly accountable for helping to conceive the baby. Let us know your comments below.

March for Life 2017.

The annual March for Life will be taking place this Friday, January 27th, in Washington, D.C. Thousands of pro-life marchers will be marching to show their solidarity with the pro-life message.

President Donald J. Trump has held a staunch pro-life position and he is making good on his campaign promises. Since his inauguration, Trump has signed an executive order stripping much of the federal funding for abortions. Sean Spicer told reporters at Tuesday’s White House briefing that there will be a “heavy administrative presence” at the March for Life event on Friday.

If you cannot attend the official March for Life in Washington, there are other ways you can get involved. Your voice is still important! Go to: http://marchforlife.org/show-your-support

May God richly bless you for helping to save innocent lives.

From Luis Josephus: “Thirty-five years ago before coming to faith in Jesus Christ, I was a lustful and fornicating young man. I impregnated my girlfriend at the time. Afterwards, she came to me to help her get an abortion. I refused to do so because my Roman Catholic upbringing taught me that it was murder. Fortunately, my girlfriend changed her mind and had the baby. Through this daughter who almost got aborted, I now have three handsome and healthy grandsons. I thank God every day that He guided us to choose life, not abortion!”

From Cheryl Lynn: “I’m not pro-abortion. I’m pro- choice. I don’t agree that abortion is the right answer but I’ll fight for the right of a woman to make up her own mind about her own body. When the far right fully takes care of all children born; feeding, sheltering, clothing, and educating them, then I just might listen a bit closer to all of the shouting.”

From Luis Josephus: “Cheryl Lynn, let us be objective about this issue and not allow political mindsets to cloud our good judgment. I don’t consider myself to be politically far right, nor far left (I guess somewhere in between). I also believe in pro-choice for women. That is, a woman should have the freedom to choose to save the life of her unborn child, not to destroy it. If she is not financially capable or mature enough to raise her child, she should choose the humane option of placing the child up for adoption. There are thousands of infertile couples who would be thrilled to adopt her child and give it a good home.

Abortion may be legal in the U.S., but it is immoral. Abortion is equivalent to legalized homicide. Rational people understand that life begins at the moment of conception. A fetus should be protected by the same civil rights as any other human being.

I believe that more and more people are waking up to this fact, and Roe Vs. Wade will finally be overturned as an unconstitutional law. Already, states like Texas are making it more difficult to get abortions. Adoption, not abortion, should be the right choice.

I’m not alone in my convictions. Tomorrow’s MARCH FOR LIFE in Washington, D.C. is expected to draw close to half a million pro-life supporters.”
