The word, “babel,” is generally used to describe a confusion of sounds or voices, such as people chattering in a babel of different languages at an international event. It can also mean a scene or situation of confusion.

Both definitions adequately describe the great confusion on the part of many people today trying to make sense of so many religious voices claiming that their religion, denomination, or sect, is the right pathway to God. Everyone claims to be preaching the truth. But, are they really?

Luis Josephus, our ministry elder, confesses, “I was once one of these confusing voices in the early part of my ministry as an ordained Christian pastor and evangelist in the Pentecostal church. Since that time, I believe I have matured and deepened in my Christian faith. As a result, I have renounced all man-made denominational ties and labels as divisive and hurtful to the cause of Christ. Today, I’m simply a lowly servant of the Lord Jesus. I no longer wish to be called “Pastor,” or “Evangelist,” or any such self-exalting title. I prefer to be simply addressed as a “brother” in Christ – no better or different than any other follower of Jesus.”

For the sake of identification, and to create a distinction from all the religious confusion around us, we have named our ministry, 4Jesus Outreach. It is a simple name that describes our primary mission: to promote Jesus Christ, and his gospel message of salvation, by God’s grace through faith. We are non-sectarian (i.e. non-denominational) and do not submit to any religious institutions or allegiances. Therefore, we answer to no one but God Himself, through the personal guidance of the Holy Spirit. We teach the fundamental, unadulterated gospel message of the Bible; we believe that it is the divine and inspired Word of God for our instruction in righteous living.

We offer the right hand of fellowship to any follower of Christ, regardless of their denominational affiliation, as long as they are committed to acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly before God. This includes overcoming man-made religious division, striving for Christian unity, and being open-minded to learning deeper truths. We believe that there is still much new wisdom and understanding that Christ wants to reveal to us if we will diligently seek Him with all our hearts.

We also believe God has a called-out remnant in these last days before the return of our Savior and Lord. He is gathering them from all nations, tribes, tongues, and people – a holy and separated church, that is endeavoring to present themselves before Christ without spot, wrinkle or blemish, or any such thing. It is the true church of Jesus Christ, that exists alongside, but distinct from, the counterfeit form of Christianity so prevalent in the world today.

Our elder, Luis Josephus, concludes, “In the 30 or more years I have been in ministry, there is much sound teaching I wish to impart to others that Christ has revealed to me. Some of it may be unsettling to you at first – particularly if you come from a traditional denominational church background, but stay with me; you may find that in the long run, that I might be right about many things. You’re also welcomed to correct me if you think I’m wrong too. I’m always open to constructive criticism and I will take it before the Lord in prayer.”

Finally, we pray that God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified and exalted through this ministry. If you wish to help us out with your financial gifts, we will certainly appreciate it, and believe God will multiply it to your account. But, keep in mind, we are not motivated or swayed by money, or will attempt to financially exploit God’s people like many other Christian ministries do today. We will not allow God’s message to be compromised, in any way, for fear of offending our financial supporters.

If something we preach or teach unsettles you, don’t get angry with us for telling you the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts, as they say. Instead, humbly take it before the Lord in prayer and ask Him, “Is this true?” If it is, God will give you a confirmation. Then, act upon this new revelation and use it to improve your life.

We pray God’s grace and peace unto you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
