Today’s Scripture Verse – John 2:23-25

www.RealJesus.net“Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many believed in His name, when they saw the miracles which He did. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for He knew what was in man.” – John 2:23-25

Today’s Scripture Verse – 1 John 1:5-7

www.RealJesus.net“This is the message we have heard from Him [Jesus] and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He [God] is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ [The Messiah[, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” – 1 John 1:5-7 (JCV)

Everything was created by Jesus

Jesus created all things

Jesus created all things

Today’s Scripture Verse:

“For through him [Jesus] God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see–such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He [Jesus] existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.” – Colossians 1:16-17

Human Opinion or Christ’s Opinion?

www.RealJesus.netThe man or woman whose heart is filled and controlled by the love of God has liberty to do exactly as He desires. If you are filled with the love of God you will never be breaking His commandments or doing anything that is not in conformity with God’s will. It doesn’t even matter what other people think; they may criticize you, or misjudge you, but what matters is, “what does God think of you?” The apostle Paul said that a spiritual man is often misunderstood and wrongly judged by carnal Christians:

“But the natural or carnal man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual rightly judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one. For ‘who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 2:14-16.

If we truly have the ‘mind of Christ’ we must obey His will for our lives – no matter how controversial or unpopular our decisions may be to others. We cannot be like so many immature Christians today that live their lives more concerned about human opinion rather than Christ’s opinion.

The Voice of an Archangel

Todays_Scripture_Verse“For the Lord Jesus Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first…” – 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16

When the Lord Jesus descends from heaven at His second coming, all the righteous dead in Christ will hear His voice and be resurrected. Second, all true believers which are still alive at that moment will undergo an instant transformation. This is called “The Rapture” of the church. Our earthly bodies will be supernaturally changed into glorified spiritual bodies, and all will go to meet Jesus in the clouds as He descends from heaven.

The trumpet of God and the voice of an archangel will also be heard. I believe it will be the archangel Gabriel, since Gabriel seems to have a special position in heaven as God’s herald. Unlike the archangel Michael – the warrior angel, Gabriel was the one who appeared to the virgin Mary and announced the birth of Jesus (Luke 1:26-35).

The Rapture in an Atomic Second

Todays_Scripture_VerseTODAY’S SCRIPTURE VERSE: The Rapture in an Atomic Second

In describing the “catching away of believers” upon the return of Jesus Christ to the earth (the Rapture of the Church), the apostle Paul says it will happen in a split-second, in the twinkling of an eye. He uses the Greek word, Atomos, where we get Atom, or Atomic.

How fast is an atomic second?

Imagine the passing of a regular second from a conventional clock. A regular second can even be calculated to one-tenth of a second, one one-hundreth of a second, and one one-thousands of a second.

An atomic second is even faster. An atomic clock is a scientific time standard that regulates the oscillations of an atom particle – specifically the Cesium 133 isotope within an atom. So an atomic second is the interval of time taken to complete nine billion plus oscillations of the cesium 133 atom exposed to a suitable excitation. If you can image that, that’s how fast our bodies will be transformed into glorious bodies at the return of Jesus at the Rapture of the Church.

“Behold, I tell you a mystery — a hidden truth: We shall not all die, but some of us will be changed and transforrmed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet of God will sound, and the dead in Christ will be raised and receive incurruptible bodies to live forever.” – 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 .

Those Who Sleep in Jesus

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE VERSE – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus .” – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Todays_Scripture_VerseHave you lost a relative or loved one who was a Christian? Do you still miss them and grieve for them sometimes? Take comfort, for you will see them again. Right now they are “sleeping in Jesus”. But one day soon they will be resurrected from the dead. They will come alive again when Jesus returns and Raptures the Church. The dead in Christ will be resurrected first, and then we who are still alive and remain will be caught up together with the Lord, and we will be reunited with our loved ones. “Therefore”, writes the apostle Paul, “comfort one another with these words.”

Today’s Scripture Verse – 1 Cor 15:12-14

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE VERSE – 1 Cor 15:12-14

But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.– 1 Corinthians 15:12-14

Todays_Scripture_VerseIn today’s Scripture, the aspostle Paul teaches in favor of the Christian resurrection. Some false teachers who had infiltrated the Church were discouraging the Corinthian believers and teaching that there is no resurrection of the dead. Paul argues that if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ did not rise from the tomb, and our faith in an afterlife is in vain.

But the truth is, Christ did rise from the dead and became the “firstfruits” of the resurrection for all believers. The blessed hope of all Christians is their resurrection from the dead. The Bible tells us that this will occur at the Second Coming of Christ at the Rapture, when all the dead in Christ will be raised first to receive their new glorified bodies, and then afterwards, those who are still alive and remain will be instantly transformed to meet the Lord in the clouds. It will be a glorious event that all Christian are looking forward to. For further study of the Rapture of the Church, order my teaching message entitled, “The Rapture in an Atomic Second.”

COMMENT FROM FILCOM:

“Thank you for this topic. We see, hear, and feel the evil of this world. “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Eph 6:12, ASV)”
