Proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Is Jesus the only way to God?

The Antichrist will unite all world religions into one and cause all who follow him to be condemed forever.

Could the future Antichrist claim to be the Christian Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, the Islamic Mahdi, the Buddhist Maitreya and the Hindu Kalki all at the same time? Could this be what happens when all of the major religions merge into the one world religion prophesied in the book of Revelation? The Bible predicts that the Antichrist will unite all world religions into one and cause all who follow him to be condemned forever.

Years ago before I received Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I experimented with other religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, New Age Metaphysics, the Occult, and others. One of the common threads of all these pseudo-religions was the prevalent false teaching that “All paths lead to God. It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe in god.” Of Course, nothing could be further from the truth. There is only ONE GOD and only ONE WAY to find Him – through Jesus Christ His Son. Only Jesus was the true Messiah, who as the Holy Lamb of God, sacrificed His life for the remission of our sins.

When I became a Christian and began to closely study the Bible. I realized that I had been deceived for many years by these counterfeit religious ideologies that had professed to show me the way to God. Even today, I often come across Muslims, for instance, who tell me, “You and I worship the same god. ‘Allah’ is the same god as your Christian God.” I quickly correct them, “No sir, he is not! The God of the Jews and Christians is not the same god you Muslims worship. The only true God, the Creator of heaven and earth is not Allah, but Yahovah. You are worshipping a false god, I’m sorry to say.” Muslims usually get offended when they hear this, but the truth is often hard to accept at first. Afterwards I always pray for their blinded eyes to be opened.

God’s way is narrow.

Yehovah God sent His only begotten Son into the world to be the sacrificial Pesach (Passover) Lamb that can take away our sins and reconcile us to the true and only God. You can follow some other (false) god if you wish, but you will deceived into following the broad road to destruction. There is only one true path to God – through His Son Jesus Christ the Messiah. Jesus declared, “…No man comes to the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6). Perhaps you may think that is dogmatic and narrow-minded. I have to admit that it is, but it’s simply the truth. True Christianity is the only religious belief system that will bring you to God.

Man’s free will to choose right and wrong.

Now, you don’t have to follow the narrow way to salvation; you’re free to follow the broad road to destruction if you choose. God created man with a free will and allows you to reject the truth and believe anything you wish. If you persist in rejecting the right way He won’t stop you from making an eternal mistake. But He desires that none should perish but that all men should come to salvation.

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” – 2 Peter 3:9

However, if you want salvation, you must come to God on His terms, not yours. You have to accept Jesus as the only true way to God or you’ll be lost. That’s just the way it is.

We cannot be saved by our own good works either.

Living a moral life, or performing good deeds is always important, but they still cannot save us. But even good deeds and a moral life can never produce the perfect righteousness that God requires for salvation. Only Jesus was sinless and perfect, and only by placing your trust in His imputed righteousness can save you. Don’t make the mistake of trying to earn your way into heaven, it’s simply impossible; that’s why God gave us the gift of Jesus.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” -Titus 3:5.

It is by “grace through faith in Jesus that we are saved. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” – Ephesians 2:8,9.

The minute you and I place our faith in Jesus’ substitionary death on the cross on our behalf, the way to God is open. It is the only way we can be saved.

Anyone can come.

Jesus invited everyone to come to salvation. He said, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” – John 7:37. This is an all-inclusive invitation to all human beings. None are excluded except those who exclude themselves. Even the worst of sinner can be forgiven if they will repent. The Lord Jesus gives only one condition: “If any man thirst.” If you’re thirsting for salvation and the only true God, He asks you to simply come to Him. He is the only One that can satisfy you innermost desire.

Prayer of Salvation:

Pray this prayer right now with all sincerity….

“Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, the Messiah of both Jews and Gentiles. I believe that you sacrificed your life on the cross of Calvary to pay the penalty for my sins. I repent of my sins. Please forgive me. Today, I receive you as my Savior and Lord. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live my life for You, from this day forth, amen.”

Comment from Jeff Brown: “Great word as always brother Luis! Our Heavenly Father has lovingly reached out His hand to each of us and through Christ has made a way that all may be saved! Only those who say “no” will be sent away to an eternity of their own choice and it’s just so terrible! No one would choose it if they knew the truth which is where we come in…I pray for fresh winds to blow into both of our missions, that the truth would be told from the highest mountains! In Jesus Mighty Name I ask it!”

Walking In The Light

Grace For TodayThis is the message we have heard from Him [Jesus] and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He [God] is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ [The Messiah], His Son, purifies us from all sin.” – 1 John 1:5-7 (JCV)

There are many people who say they believe in God, but do they really know Him? The true test of knowing God is walking in the light, since God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to know God and yet walk in darkness, we deceive ourselves and do not live by the truth.

A genuine Christian believer walks consistently in the light of God’s truth and holiness, as revealed to us by the teachings of Jesus Christ the Messiah. Walking simply in external religion without an internal, personal relationship with God is to walk in darkness. So is walking in habitual sin and unbelief. Genuine fellowship with God should produce good fruit in our lives – the evidence that we are truly walking in the light. We should be able to see godly character and holiness progressively being formed in us, as we grow in our relationship with Christ. When we do sin, we should feel conviction and be immediately willing to confess it before God. As we do, the blood of Jesus purifies us again and again (1 John 1:9).

Living in the light — in true fellowship with God — means that we do not try to hide our sins from Him, nor try to justify them. For if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8).

The darkness of pride.

The sin of pride and self-righteousness also causes us to walk in darkness and hinders our relationship with God. We cannot be in right fellowship with the LORD unless we walk in humility and honesty. When we do not confess our sins and admit our failures to Him, we become prisoners of pride, arrogance and deceit.

You often hear people say, “Well, I may not be perfect, but I’m not a murderer or evil person.” “Me a sinner? Oh sure, I get get a little feisty every so often, but I’m still a pretty good person. Why God is probably happy to have me on His team.”

Justification, rationalization, comparison, the blaming of others: they are the fuel that stokes the fires of pride and self-deceit. Your excuses may sound good to you and to others, but they don’t fool God; they keep you separated from Him. Only when you’re really sorrowful for your sins and readily admit them to God, pleading for His mercy and forgiveness, can you truly receive His pardon and restored fellowship. The apostle James put it this way: “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.” – James 4:6

Examine yourself today.

Are you walking in the light, or in darkness? Is there unconfessed sins in your life that you’ve been hiding from God? Confess them honestly to Him and ask God to cleanse you by the blood of Jesus Christ His Son. Ask Him to remove every ounce of pride and arrogance from your life. Only then, will you be able to walk in the light – in true fellowship with Him.

FOR REFLECTION:

1.      Is it possible for a person to believe in God, yet not be saved and be living in darkness?

2.      How can we be sure we are living in the light?

3.      Why is it important to God that we confess our sins to Him on a daily basis?
