Get Inspired!

Daily Inspiration_Logo_sm_300 x 230_jpgDaily Inspiration – a dose of daily inspiration and encouragement from the Word of God.

The ability to be inspired is a gift from God. It helps us to rise above the mundane and soar upwards with new hope, emotion and motivation. It helps us achieve new goals and strengthens our faith and assurance of our Creator’s love and care for us.

God allows us to receive inspiration and joy from various sources. As we read inspirational messages like these, study the Bible’s wisdom, listen to a Christian preacher’s sermon, or simply commune with other brothers and sisters in Christ. During our own prayer time, God will also speak inspiration to us in our thoughts, with His still small voice.

We pray that today you will receive the inspiration you need. Then inspire others. Most importantly, learn to listen for God’s voice as He speaks to you and guides you, through every day and every moment of your life.

Jesus Christ came to give us life, and life more abundantly:

“…I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.” – John 10:10

Learn to live life to the fullest with everlasting peace and joy. Amen.

Believe in Yourself – God does!

Daily Inspiration_Logo_sm_300 x 230_jpgDaily Inspiration – A dose of daily inspiration and encouragement from the Word of God.

When I was a young boy, I suffered from low self-esteem. Part of the reason is that I had an abusive and critical father who constantly pointed out all my faults and rarely had anything good to say about me. This did considerable psychological damage. I grew up shy, insecure, and awkward around other people. I felt I was unloved and worthless.

But God, our heavenly Father is not that way at all. I discovered after becoming a Christian, that God loved me and thought the best of me. After all, He created me for a special purpose. And that He wanted to always encourage me to succeed in life, not to fail.

Did you know God feels the same way about you?

He loves you just as much. And He created you with a special purpose too. You are beautiful in His eyes, so don’t let anyone put you down nor make you feel inferior to others. You are worthy of God’s best! He has put you on this earth in order that you will have a fruitful and happy life. He says this about you in Jeremiah 29:11:

“For I know the plans I have for you, ‘declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

In Romans 8:31-32, the Bible also tells us:

“…If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

Are you chasing the wrong things?

Daily Inspiration_Logo_sm_300 x 230_jpgDaily Inspiration – A dose of daily inspiration and encouragement from the Word of God.

When you stop chasing the wrong things in this world you give God the opportunity to bless you with the right things.

“The devil comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10

Selah. Pause, pray and think about that.

Let God speak through you

Luis Josephus 1“Trust in the LORD (Jehovah) with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes… “ – Proverbs 3:5-7

Many times as I sit down to write these inspirational messages, I have no idea what I’m going to say. I study the Bible, pray and ask God to speak through me, and by faith the words begin to flow from my mind unto my computer.

Afterwards, people will hit the “Like” button or email me that the message touched their hearts and came to them “at just the right time.” I cannot take any credit for this since it was God who obviously directed the whole thing. He gave me my message, and placed it in the right place at the right time, for someone who needed to hear it.

God wants to use you too.

As you humbly make yourself available in God’s service (whatever area that may be), He too will direct your paths. Do not measure your success on how precisely you accomplished your task or how eloquently you delivered your speech, but by what God did through you. Simply pray and make yourself available for God’s anointing to rest upon you. He will do the rest.

God can do great and mighty things through the humblest person who trusts Him implicitly, and allows His divine Spirit to direct their paths.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I trust you completely with my life. Guide me everyday in the paths that I must follow, and use me to be a blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Better days are ahead.

Rising Sun_jpg For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Many of us have gone through traumatic and painful circumstances in life that have left us deeply hurt, used, abused, and rejected. As a result, we have been mentally and emotionally scarred which can keep us feeling unworthy, depressed, and mistrustful of others. We remain apprehensive of the future and doubtful of ever being happy again.

These experiences can also distort our image of God. We may ask ourselves, “How can a good and loving Father allows us to be hurt in this way?”

God’s love and mercy has never failed us.

We need to reaffirm to ourselves that no matter what other people do to us and no matter what trials we may experience, God loves us with an unfailing love. He is fully aware of every hurt we’ve experience and every tear that we’ve shed. In fact, our heavenly Father is already working on our behalf to make things better. He will turn something bad in our lives into something that will actually turn out for our good.

The Scriptures promise us “…God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” – Romans 8:28

We may not always understand why God permits things to happen, but we can trust Him to somehow turn it around for our good.

Righteous Job suffered pain and loss.

The life of Job is a good example of how God is a God of restoration. Job was a man that God had nothing but good things to say about him. He told Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who honors God and shuns evil.” – Job 1:8

Yet despite Job’s goodness, Satan hated him and set out to destroy him, his family, and all he possessed. But through all his loss and pain, Job never lost his faith and commitment to honor God. His own wife even tried to persuade him to “Curse God and die.” Job rebuked her foolishness and bad advice. He also declared his unswerving trust in God, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” – Job 13:15

After Job went through his time of testing and affliction, God worked all the bad things that happened for his good. When Job proved faithful to trust God in all circumstances, God restored his joy, peace, health, and finances. He even gave him a new wife and more children. In fact, Job lived a good long life and his latter days proved to be better that his former days. The LORD paid him back double for all his previous loss.

God will do the same for you.

Your heavenly Father loves you so much that He will heal every emotional would, help you to love again, and restore everything that Satan has stolen from you. Your latter days will be better than the first, and you will live a long life to enjoy it. You’re going to come out stronger, healthier and happier than you’ve ever been.

So shake off any negative, defeated or bitter mindset. Stop walking around feeling hurt, depressed or thinking about the past. Reaffirm your faith in God’s love and goodness. If you’ve stopped going to church, get into a good church that honors Jesus and preaches an edifying message. Pray and spend time alone with God daily. Do your best to live a good and righteous life of faith that pleases God. Tell others about the changes Jesus has made in your life. If you do these things, God will bless your life in a way you never thought possible.

Pray the following prayer today:

”Dear good and gracious Father, I thank You that You will turn around all these negative experiences for my good. I love You and trust You no matter what. I also thank you that you will pay me back double for my trouble, and better days are ahead for me. I believe it and declare it so, in Jesus’ name, amen.”

God has not given up on you.

Spirit-Lifting Thoughts for Today_150 x 150_jpgWho will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies and has given us right standing with Himself.” – Romans 8:33

In the fallen world we live in, it is easy to be hurt by other people with their critical words and judgmental attitudes.

But our heavenly Father is not like that.

He loves us just as we are, despite our flaws and wrongful actions. He understands us better than we understand ourselves. He knows what we struggle with and He doesn’t condemn us when we fall short of perfection.

All He asks of us is to believe in His love, wisdom and faithfulness, and to surrender our lives to His control. He is our Creator; He made us for a special purpose. Therefore, only He knows best what is right for us. We must trust His judgment implicitly in whatever direction He takes us in life. We must pray that His will be done in whatever decisions we make – even when things don’t always work out the way we planned. Yet despite our disappointment, we know God’s ways are always best.

When we rebel against His will, or make sinful choices, we simply need to confess our sins, claim the provision of forgiveness that Jesus made for us on the cross, and receive His cleansing and restoration once again.

Don’t worry about what others may say or think. What is important is what God thinks about us. He still loves us. He has not  rejected us or condemned us for failing. On the contrary, He still wants the best for us. He is still for us, and not against us. He has justified us in Messiah Jesus and has acquitted us of all guilt.

So, if you’re feeling down today, don’t stay there. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Pick up your spiritual feet and keep walking with God. Keep moving forward in faith and try to do better in the future. Although others may condemn and reject you , God will never leave you nor forsake you.

Keep holding on to Jesus’ hand. Jesus is our best friend. Oh, what a friend we have in Jesus. Amen.

Divine Surprises

Spirit-Lifting Thoughts for Today_150 x 150_jpg“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the LORD.” –Isaiah 55:8

God’s blessings sometimes come to us in obvious ways, other times in not so obvious ways. Obvious ways would include personal health, happiness, and provision, the love of family and friendships, the enjoyment of art and music, the beauty of nature.

But did you know that God’s blessings also come in unexpected ways? I like to call them “Divine Surprises,” since you never anticipated them. Even difficulties and adverse circumstances are God’s blessings in disguise. He promises to make all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28).

We must not even hold on to our plans too tightly; our heavenly Father (who always does what’s best for us) may change things around a bit. He may surprise you with something better than you had planned! Trust Him implicitly.

PRAYER:

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for every blessing in my life today – those that I expected, as well as those that I didn’t, for I know that Your ways are not always my ways, and You always do what is best for me. I trust You implicitly with my life, Lord. Continue to bless me and surprise me in any way you see fit in your perfect wisdom. In Jesus’ name I ask, amen.
