The Feast of Tabernacles 2014

Celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) this year on October 10-15, 2014 wherever you live, or best of all, in Israel.

The Feast of Tabernacles has prophetic significance as it reminds us of the future time when Jesus our Savior, Lord, and Messiah will return and establish His physical kingdom reign over all the earth. The seat of His throne will be in Jerusalem and He will command all people on the earth each year to come to Israel and celebrate the Feast of Sukkot, worship King Jesus and celebrate His goodness and majesty.

“The LORD (Yehovah) will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Yehovah, and his name the only name…Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.” – Zechariah 14:9-16

During His first coming, Jesus celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles. The Book of John tells us that on the last day of this yearly feast, Jesus stood in the temple courts and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” -John 7:37-38.

A festival of Joy

The Feast of Tabernacles was intended to be a festival of joy celebrating the ingathering of the summer harvest and God’s faithful provision. For the past thirty-five years, thousands of believers in Jesus the Messiah from all over the world have come up to Jerusalem each fall to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (http://feast.icej.org/about). “They come with much expectancy to take part in a dynamic worship experience, knowing the One we worship will soon be sitting on His throne in this great city. Indeed, celebrating Sukkot now gives us a foretaste of the joy of the age to come.”

Below is a short video tour of Israel and some of the sites you can see while celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles. Please continue to support the nation of Israel, pray for the Jewish people, and the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).

Happy Feast of Tabernacles 2012

We want to wish everyone a happy Feast of Tabernacles which begins at sundown this Sunday, September 30th and ends at sundown Saturday, October 6th.

Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated each fall, and commemorates the time that the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness before entering the promises land. Traditionally, individual families build small huts on the streets or on their rooftops (as shown above), and shielded them with palm and willow branches.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Hebrew: Sukkot) is the last of the seven biblical feasts which were commanded by God to be observed each year. It is also known as the feast of ingathering.

Leviticus 23:1-2; 33-36 instructs us to keep the Feast of Tabernacles as a perpetual holiday:

“And Yahovah spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts…The fifteenth day of this seventh month (according to the biblical calendar) shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD…”

Traditionally, the followers of God have built temporary booths outside their homes where they will intermittently pray, worship, and partake of family meals for seven days. Before Christ’s advent, this feast reminded the children of Israel of God’s goodness and provision for them during their 40 years of wandering in the desert after they had escaped their bondage in Egypt. Today, those of us who are followers of Christ the Messiah, it reminds us of our escape from the bondage of sin and our current journey in this world as strangers and pilgrims as we await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus comes again, both Jewish and gentile believers will rejoice when He returns during the Feast of Tabernacles and establishes His earthly eternal reign as the King and Lord of all the world. The tabernacle of God will finally be with men according to Revelation 21:3…

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

You shall rejoice before the LORD.

According to Leviticus 23:39-40, the Feast of Tabernacles was the final harvest feast of the year and a joyous time of thanksgiving. People rejoiced and carried braided switches made of a willow branch, palm branches, and bits of myrtle, which they waved about as symbols of God’s harvest blessing. When the final harvest of souls occurs just before the return of Christ, we too will enjoy a great time of rejoicing as we behold the second coming of Christ and the establishment of His millennial kingdom.

Again, we pray that you have a joyous Feast of Tabernacles!

From Pastor Luis – 10-1-11

The Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles are coming up soon within a few days (October 8th and 13th). Already our church is preparing with excitement for the last two of the Fall feasts.

I just bought some lumber today at the Home Depot to build our temporary “booth” made of wooden poles and palm branches for a roof. Underneath this makeshift little house we will pray, study, eat, drink, and rejoice every morning for seven days as God commanded us to observe each year at these holy and appointed times.

It is so refreshing and blessed to be celebrating holidays that are truly biblical in nature and discarding those that have no business within the Christian church. Our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah and His disciples never observed Christmas, Saint Valentines Day, Saint Patrick’s Day, Easter, or Halloween. All these popular holidays are actually “pagan” in their origins and demonic by inspiration:

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils…” – 1 Timothy 4:1

For too long, the practices of Christ-Mass, Santa Clauses, Christmas trees, Cupids and bow and arrows, Easter egg hunts and chocolate bunny rabbits, dressing up as witches and vampires, and other such pagan practices has spiritually corrupted the Christian churches. More pastors and church leaders need to speak out against it (no matter how unpopular the truth may be received), and put a stop to it once and for all.

Following Christ’s example.

All faithful Christians need to come out of Babylon (the confusion and apostasy) practiced by many churches today and follow Christ’s example of observing ONLY those Holy Days that Jesus Christ and the early New Testament believers observed. Contrary to popular thought, the only holidays that God approves of are those He commanded in Leviticus chapter 23. He states several times in this chapter that they are to be observed as a “a perpetual ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.“ They are not “outdated Jewish holidays” or “obsolete under the New Covenant” as many falsely claim. They are still in effect for the Christian church today, and will continue to be observed during the future Millennial Reign of Christ (see Zechariah 14:16-19). God Himself ordained these Holy Days for all His people to observe – both Jew and Gentile. We call them “The Seven Biblical Feasts”

Letters – August 2011

One of our readers wrote us of a vision he received (below) regarding Israel. If anyone would like to comment on this, or has any other revelation from the Holy Spirit, please feel free to EMAIL US

– Luis Josephus

“I recently had a vision of an impression mold from an almond.  I don’t know exactly what it means yet.  However, I do know that Yahweh is showing me that on Rosh Hashana (Feast of Trumpets) 2012, something awesome will happen in Israel.  God has been impressing upon me that the natural things always proceed the spiritual thing.  Israel will find Oil (that will be a game changer) not only in the region, but the world. And shortly afterwards the Oil of the Holy will be poured upon the House of Israel.  I welcome any comment on the impression of the almond.” – Freeman Fobbs

COMMENT from Cynthia Spinner: “Question: I had read a website “by Zion Oil & Gas Founder John Brown”, http://www.oilinisrael.net/resources/oil-of-israel”

COMMENT from Luis Josephus: “I recommend that you watch the video below, “An Act of Faith – Searching for Oil in Israel.” Also continue to support the nation of Israel in your prayers.”

COMMENT from Umari: “The drilling of oil in Israel will open a big door for Israel in the world stage.”

COMMENT from M.V. Casarini: “You always bring up so interesting topics, Pastor!”
