Jesus Shine in Us

Grace For TodayAs we gaze on Your kindly brightness.
So our faces display Your likeness.
Ever changing from glory to glory,
Mirrored here may our lives tell Your story.
Shine on me. Shine on me.

“You are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matt. 5:14-16

Those that follow Jesus Christ the Messiah should let their lights shine in the spiritual darkness of this world. We must endeavor to let the light of Jesus (living in us) illuminate our steps wherever we go – at home, work, and our culture.

Instead of shunning all those who live in darkness around us, let us bring light and hope to them by presenting the Good News (gospel). Remember that Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to save it. His primary desire is that none should perish. Therefore, His principle mission for us in this earthly life is that we become messengers of God’s love towards lost humanity so that they will be drawn to salvation.

As we clearly present the gospel by our good works and deeds, people will see the light of God in our lives. The unsaved will be drawn into His kingdom and the heart of our Abba Father will rejoice and be glorified.

One God, One Way

The Antichrist will unite all world religions into one and cause all who follow him to be condemed forever.

The Antichrist will unite all world religions into one and cause all who follow him to be condemed forever.

Years ago before I received Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I experimented with other religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, New Age Metaphysics, the Occult, and others. One of the common threads of all these false religions was the prevalent teaching that “All paths lead to God. It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe in god.”  Nothing could be further from the truth; there is only ONE GOD and only ONE WAY to find Him – through Jesus Christ His Son.

When I became a Christian and began to closely study the Bible. I realized that I had been deceived for many years by these counterfeit religious ideologies that had claimed to show me the way to God. Even today, I often come across Muslims, for instance, who tell me, “You and I worship the same god. “Allah” is the same god as your Christian God.” I quickly correct them, “No He is not! The God of the Jews and Christians is not the same god you Muslims worship. The true God, Creator of the universe is not Allah, but Yahovah. You are worshipping a false god, I’m sorry to say.” Muslims usually get offended when they hear this, but the truth is often hard to swallow. Afterwards I always pray for their blinded eyes to be opened.

God’s way is narrow. Jesus is the only way.

Yahovah God sent His only begotten Son into the world to be the sacrificial Pesach (Passover) Lamb that can take away our sins and reconcile us to the true and only God.

You can follow some other (false) god if you wish, but there is only one true way to God – through His Son Jesus Christ the Messiah. Jesus Himself declared, “…No man comes to the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6). Perhaps you may think that is dogmatic and narrow. I have to admit that it is; but it’s also the truth. It’s the only kind of belief system that will bring you to God.

Now, you don’t have to follow the narrow road to salvation; you’re free to follow the broad road that most people are traveling to destruction. God allows you to reject the truth and believe anything you wish, or following any other (false) religion you prefer to His. God won’t stop you from making a mistake (that is where your free will comes in). But if you want to follow the only true way to God, you have to get on the right path or you’ll be lost. That’s just the way it is. Yahovah God has decreed that there is only one right way – through Jesus His Son.

We cannot be saved by our own good works either.

Performing good deeds and keeping the laws of God are always important, but they still cannot save us. They can never produce the absolute perfect righteousness that God requires. Only Jesus was sinless and perfect; His imputed righteousness through faith is what saves us.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” -Titus 3:5.

It is by “grace through faith in Jesus that we are saved. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” – Ephesians 2:8,9.

The minute you and I place our faith in Jesus’ substitionary death on our behalf, the way to God is open. It is the only way we can be saved.

Anyone can come.

Jesus invited everyone to come to salvation. He said, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” – John 7:37. This is an all-inclusive invitation to all human beings. None are excluded except those who exclude themselves. The Lord Jesus gives only one condition: “If any man thirst.” If you’re thirsting for the truth and the only true God, He asks you to simply come to Him. He is the only One that can satisfy you.

Prayer of Salvation:

Pray this prayer right now with all sincerity….

“Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, the Messiah of both Jews and Gentiles. I believe that you sacrificed your life on the cross of Calvary to pay the penalty for my sins. I repent of my sins; please forgive me. Today, I receive you as my Savior and Lord. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live my life for You, from this day forth, amen.”

If you prayed this prayer just now, please let us know. We want to rejoice with you and send you some free resources to help you grow in your new Christian faith. Simply contact us and provide your postal address where we can mail you the packet.

The Woman Caught in Adultery

John 8:4-11

John 8:4-11

“When I came to the Lord I was a stripper,” says the woman in the video below. But when she tried to learn more about God and started attending a local church, she was ostracized and condemned. Instead of receiving help, love and acceptance from Christian people, they gave her dirty looks and rejected her.

The religious scribes and Pharisees once brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus. Apparently, she was having sexual intercourse with a married man, or perhaps she herself was married and cheating on her husband. When the religious people caught her, they immediately brought her to Jesus and asked Him what they should do with her. According to the Old Testament Law, she deserved to be killed by stoning. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear their question. When they asked Him again and pressed Him for an answer, Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let Him cast the first stone.” (John 8:4-11)

Everyone thought about it, and realized that no one there was without sin. Therefore, they really had no business condemning the woman to death when they themselves were guilty of probably worse sins. So being convicted by their consciences and hypocritical attitudes, they slowly left the scene, one by one. Finally Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?” Still feeling ashamed, she said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

The gospel of grace saves.

In this incident, Jesus was demonstrating the love and grace of God in wanting to save sinners – not condemn them. He also stated elsewhere:

For God did not send His Son [Jesus Christ] into the world to condemn the world – to judge, reject, and pass judgment on; but that sinful, lost people through Him might find salvation and deliverance from sin.” – John 3:17 (JCV)

We Christians need to preach the same gospel that Jesus preached. The Good News gospel of Jesus Christ is, first and foremost, a message of hope; that God is willing to forgive us of our sins. He understands our weaknesses and faults, and wants to give us opportunity and supernatural power to change (grace).

In the above example, Jesus never approves of the woman’s sexual sins, but he doesn’t condemn her either. He told her, “Go and sin no more.” He forgave her and advised her to stop sinning. We Christians need to do likewise. Whether we are witnessing to a woman who makes a living dancing naked in front of men in a bar, or a man with homosexual tendencies, or a drug addict or alcoholic, our first priority is to preach  the love and forgiveness of God who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for their sins. God might hate the sinful way they’re living, but He still loves the sinner. God’s purpose is always to have compassion on the sinner bound by sin, and is willing to deliver them from their sinful bondages. His message is one of restoration and liberty to live a new life.

For God so loved the world

I believe John 3:16 is the Good News gospel in a nutshell. God loves us sinners so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sins, so that we could be forgiven, healed of our corrupt natures, and restored to fellowship with our Holy God.

For too long, the Christian church has been preaching the message of Jonathan Edwards, “Sinners in the hands of an angry God.” Instead, it should be preaching the true message of Jesus Christ, “Sinners in the arms of a loving, compassionate, and forgiving God.” This message makes the religious hypocrites fighting mad, that’s why they wanted to kill Jesus for preaching that He came to save sinners — not condemn them.

Let us pray and ask God to help us overcome our judgmental attitudes, and from being so critical of others. Let us learn to be more loving and accepting of people who may still be struggling with carnal sins, and be open and willing to forgive and help them. We must remember that, if God is patient and forgiving towards us, shouldn’t we also practice the same?

–         Pastor Luis Yosefus

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding me that You are, first and foremost, a God of love and compassion. Help me to avoid becoming like the judgmental, self-righteous Pharisees and scribes, and become more like Jesus – in my attitudes and treatment of others. Help me to be compassionate and forgiving, as You are with me. Help me to stop preaching the gospel of condemnation, and instead preach the Good News of Your grace and salvation that Jesus originally proclaimed. Amen.

Salvation Tract – Free Download

Does God love me?

Does He even know I exist?

By Luis Yosefus, Real Jesus Ministries, www.RealJesus.net

The Answer to both questions is: “Absolutely yes!” God loves you so much that He has been trying to get your attention for the longest time so that He can prove His love to you in a personal way. He has been waiting for you to come to Him in faith. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you, and give you the abundant life of blessing He desires for you to have.

It doesn’t matter what you’ve done in the past or what kind of life you have lived. He loves you no matter what, and He is willing to receive you into His family. Through the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross for you, you can freely receive God’s forgiveness, peace, joy, hope, and restoration.

Won’t you receive God’s grace and forgiveness today? Pray the prayer below out loud and mean it with all your heart:

Dear heavenly Father, I do believe that you love me and desire the best for my life. By faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, I receive your forgiveness and restoration today. I submit my life to You. Help me to become the person you created me. I want to know you better and better each day. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

If you just prayed that prayer of faith, repentance, and restoration to God, contact us and let us know. We want to rejoice with you. We will also send you, free of charge, some helpful literature to encourage you in your new Christian faith.

In the meantime, begin studying the Bible each day. In doing so you will learn more about God through His written Word. Spend time in prayer communicating with God, and start attending a good Bible-teaching church in your neighborhood.

Ignorance Is Not Bliss

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him [Jesus] and given Him a name [rank, authority and power] which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and that every tongue [willingly or unwillingly] confess that Jesus the Messiah is Lord, to the glory [pleasure and magnification] of God the Father.” – Philippians 3:9-11 (JCV)

TODAY’S COMMENTARY

A common proverb states, “Ignorance is bliss”, or in other words, what you don’t know won’t hurt you. But not when it comes to the things of God. If fact, God once declared, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

One day every person that has ever lived will stand before our Creator to give account of his or her lives at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). Those who’s names are found written in the Book of Life will be rewarded with eternal life with God in happiness and bliss. On the other hand, those who’s names are not found in His book will spend an eternity in torment separated from God forever. Among other things, they will be guilty of rejecting God’s lovingkindness and saving grace through His Son Jesus the Messiah.

No one will be able to use the excuse, “I never knew.”

They will not be able to stand before God and claim ignorance — that they never knew the gospel or had opportunity to accept God’s free gift of salvation. They will not be able to justify themselves and declare, “So sorry, God, pardon my lack of knowledge; I wasn’t aware that Jesus sacrificed Himself for my sins, therefore I shouldn’t be condemned. You’re not being fair.”

On the contrary, God is always fair and just in everything that He does. For thousands of years He has been calling mankind to repentance, and to accept the saving gospel of Jesus, His anointed one. No one who refuses to accept His salvation will be acquitted as a result of pleading ignorance.

The question is not, “Should I pretend to be ignorant and take my chances with God later on?”. The question you should be asking yourself is, “While I still have opportunity, shouldn’t I receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord today?” There is no neutral ground with God, you are either for Jesus, or against Jesus (Matthew 12:30). You’re either serving God, or you’re serving the devil by default.

Every knee shall bow.

Philippians 3:9-11 tells us that, one-day, everyone is going to bow before Jesus – both the righteous as well as the condemned. You can willingly confess that He is LORD today, or you can unwillingly confess Him as Lord tomorrow – when it will be too late. In the later days, everyone will have to submit to King Jesus when He returns. Every knee will have to bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

 –         Luis Yosefus

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your free gift of salvation through your Son Jesus the Messiah. Please forgive me of my sins. I willingly confess today that I want Jesus to be the Savior of my life, and I bow down to Him as the LORD of Lords, and King of Kings. To You, O Lord, be all glory and honor, forever and ever, amen.
