Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) is the light that drives out the darkness. The darkness must flee from the presence of God (Yahovah the LORD).
That is not an easy question to answer, since there are more than 41,000* denominations and organizations in the world today who claim to be “Christian.”
Unfortunately, after almost two thousand years of church history, much of what calls itself “Christianity” is far different than what Jesus and His apostles founded as the Church. Jesus and His first Jewish disciples were called followers of “The Way” in the beginning and their religious practices were quite unlike what we see in the modern church. A great reformation needs to take place within Christiandom for the Church to be restored to its early purity because man-made doctrines and pagan traditions have seriously altered its original design.
Personally, I have come to a place in my Christian walk where I detest all the religious “babel” (confusion) that exists in Christian circles today. I seriously try to avoid much of it and concentrate on following the true biblical faith as patterned for us by our Lord and the early Church.
I also loathe denominational labels.
When someone asks me, “What denomination do you belong to? Are you a Baptist, a Methodist, a Presbyterian, or a Pentecostal?” I tell them “None of the above; I’m simply a follower of Christ.” If they press me further, I might even say, “I’m a non-denominational Christian.” You see, I believe that God also loathes denominational labels because denominationalism has a tendency to divide the church, instead of unite it. The apostle Paul tried to correct this problem of sectarianism way back in the days of the Corinthian church. Some were already starting quarrels among themselves and forming denominations and religious “clicks” when they declared “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Paul.” (1 Corinthians 1:11-13). The apostle rebuked them saying, “Is Christ divided?”
The church of Jesus Christ [the Messiah] today is comprised of believers who have one thing in common: their love for God. If you truly love God and Jesus Christ His Son you will walk in the light as He is in the light.
“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship
with one another.” – 1 John 1:7
When we are walking in the light we will be grounded in Jesus and with others who are also walking in the same path. True fellowship in Christ comes not from joining a particular church or denomination, but by following the precepts of God. The psalmist writes:
“I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.” – Psalm 119:63
The attitude of your heart and the course that you follow in life is what really determines whether you’re saved and a member of the true church – the Body of Christ. You will be in spiritual unity with all those who truly love God and serve Him faithfully.

The roots of Christianity run deep into Jewish soil. Regrettably, most Christians are uninformed about our rich Hebraic heritage and how the principles of Hebrew thought influenced the teachings of the apostles and the early Church. This book will offer you fresh insights into the teachings of Rabbi Jesus and deepen your own understanding of the Holy Bible.
