Today’s Scripture Verse – John 2:23-25

www.RealJesus.net“Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many believed in His name, when they saw the miracles which He did. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for He knew what was in man.” – John 2:23-25

Jesus will calm your storm

Jesus will calm your storm.

Jesus will calm your storm.

Early this morning as I was studying the Bible and trying to pray I became momentarily overwhelmed by the pressing circumstances in my life. I will be honest with you, it was really hard to focus on God’s goodness and trustworthiness. But as I read Matthew 8:25-26 the Lord encouraged me to believe Him, once again, to do a miracle in my life. He has done it so many times before; but sometimes I still doubt for a moment.

When the disciples were traveling with Jesus in a boat one day, a great storm arose which caused them to fear for their lives. They cried out to Jesus who was peacefully sleeping in the boat, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But Jesus said to them, “Why are you so fearful, O you of little faith.” Afterward Jesus rebuked the winds and sea and they became calm again.

Are you fearful or distraught today?

Are you going through some kind of storm – mental, physical, or financial? Are you doubting the love of God for you and His ability to deliver you? Don’t be of “little faith” like the disciples in the boat. Cry out to Jesus. Believe that our Heavenly Father is a big God; is there anything too hard for Him to handle? Of course not.

Pray in faith, never doubting that God can provide the miracle you need today, and rebuke the storm in your life. Let His peace (shalom) that surpasses all understanding guard your heart and mind through Messiah Jesus.
