The Birth of a Star

In the beginning God created the heavens and our planet earth. He is still creating other planets, suns and galaxies in the universe today. What a creative and awesome God we worship! Isn’t it amazing to know that one day, in our new glorified bodies which will transcend all space and time, we will be able to spend eternity co-managing the universe with Him?

Do you love God? If so, He has prepared a wonderful and eternal future for you – the kind you could never imagine.

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9

“O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained.” – Psalm 8:1,2

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Let us rejoice

Let us rejoice on this last day of Passover, remembering that Jesus the Messiah, the holy Lamb of God, was sacrificed for our sins, was resurrected from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God interceding for us as our great high priest. One day soon, He will come again to establish His millennial kingdom on this earth where truth and righteousness will dwell.

“Be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” – James 5:7

Hava NagilaThere are many Jewish Cubans (nicknamed “Jewbans”) like myself who’s ancestors first settled on the island of Cuba fleeing the Spanish Inquisition in the 15th Century. Here is a new version of Hava Nagila performed by Cuban singers and dancers (possibly descendents of Spanish Jews) within a backdrop of Old Havana, Cuba. In this video, they have incorporated the Cuban “salsa” rhythms. “Hava Nagila” (Hebrew: “Let Us Rejoice”) is a popular Hebrew folk song that is traditionally sung at Jewish weddings, and Bar Mitzvah’s.

Passover Blood Moon

Blood Moon_Nasa 1We want to wish everyone a Happy Passover*  from all of us at Real Jesus Ministries.

Yesterday, April 14th at sundown, began the annual Feast of Passover which is celebrated all over the world – both by faithful Jews, and gentile believers in Jesus the Messiah. God ordained this holiday to be observed each year as a reminder of the Jewish people’s deliverance from Egyptian bondage (See Leviticus 23: 4-5). For us believers in Jesus Christ (Messiah), it also commemorates our deliverance from the bondage of sin when we were saved, born again, and washed clean by the blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. Our Savior and Lord was the ultimate fulfillment of the Passover Feast, because He was the Holy Lamb of God that was sacrificed for our redemption.

This year’s Passover celebration is unique.

This year’s Passover, we believe, has prophetic significance, since it coincides with an unusual celestial phenomena know as, “The Blood Moon.” Last night we had a Lunar Eclipse between the morning hours of 1:58 and 3:45 am. Here on the East Coast of Florida, USA, we were up during the night making observations, praying, and taking photos. It was truly a spectacular sight, and we marveled at God’s beauty, handiwork, and perfect sovereignty over the universe. Many are also predicting that God has given us a sign that something very important is about to transpire in the nation of Israel and the world.

Is this Passover Blood Moon a sign of a world-shattering events about to happen in Israel? Or, a sign of the end of days? We don’t know for sure. But we do know that God gives us signs and wonders in advance of significant events, to let us know something is about to happen.

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, before he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets.” –  Amos 3:7

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity…” – Luke 21-25-27

“Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.” – Matthew 24:42

Last night’s Passover Blood Moon is the first of four Blood Moons that will be occurring within six months of each other. The next Blood Moon will occur on October 8, the third again on April 4, 2015, and the final on  September 28, 2015. Although Blood Moons have occurred throughout human history, this tetrad of four Blood Moons in such short intervals of time of from each other is leaving even scientist scratching their heads and wondering, “What’s going on?”

It’s exciting to be alive in these end times.

Two thousand years ago, Jesus predicted these days and said, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption is near.” (Luke 21:28  ).

Are you ready to meet Jesus if He returns today? If not, pray and repent of your sins. Ask Him to forgive you and cleans you with His precious blood. Receive Him as the Savior and Lord of your life. Amen.

NOTE:  The next Blood Moon this year will also occur on the first day of the biblical Feast of Tabernacles, October 28, 2014. And then again on September 28, 2015. Just a coincidence?

The Rapture of the Church

Spirit-Lifting Thoughts for Today_150 x 150_jpg“For you know perfectly that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night.” “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; 5:2

The events described by the apostle Paul in these verses is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the Rapture of the Church.

When Jesus died on the cross, rose again, and ascended into heaven to be with God the Father, He told His disciples that, one day, He would return again. Therefore, we believe His promise and eagerly await His second coming, the rapture of His Bride (the faithful in His church), and the establishment of His millennial kingdom on the earth.

The word RAPTURE comes from the Greek word harpazo, which translates into a “catching away” of believers. The moment Jesus returns everyone will know; every eye will see Him coming in the sky. Some will be glad to see Him, while others will be afraid for their time of judgment has come. His mighty voice will shout from the heavens and the angels will blow their great trumpets.

The dead in Christ will be resurrected from their graves first, and then those of us who are still alive and remain will be instantly be given immortal bodies to fly up to meet the Lord in the air, which is the atmosphere between heaven and earth. Halleluyah!

Because no one knows the day or the hours of Jesus’ return, we need to be ready at all times by watching and living sanctified lives. Those who don’t have a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, or have not prepared their lamps with oil (like the five foolish virgins*) , will be left behind to experience the Great Tribulation, wrath of God He is sending upon the wicked of this earth.

If the Lord Jesus comes back today, will you be ready? If not, repent of your sinful ways and invite Jesus to become your Savior and Lord of your life. Amen.

The Messianic Judaism Controversy

www.RealJesus.netDear Brother Luis:

Lately I’ve been intrigued as to the why, and or the appropriateness of, the increasing popularity of Christians celebrating Jewish high holy days, and why some seem to identify very strongly with Judaism. I’ve been researching how it seems Jewish people really feel about Christians (not good), the messianic synagogue “controversy” and various other aspects of this subject. Because you are a messianic Jew I would be very interested in what you think about this. If you have time I would value it greatly (and promise not to quote you without permission). I can only imagine what you’ve been through!

Thanks and blessings always to you my Brother In Christ!

JEFF BROWN

———————–

Hello Jeff:

I too am concerned about the legalistic theology of many Messianic believers (both Jewish and Gentiles) and their self-imposed isolation from the rest of Christianity. Recently I have decided to distance myself from this movement to avoid being associated with their errant beliefs. These days I prefer to call myself a “Judeo-Christian” rather than “Messianic”.

Although I still believe in learning all the good we possibly can  about Christianity’s Jewish roots and keeping the original holy days of the Bible (including the original Saturday sabbath), I don’t believe we can “earn” our salvation by the keeping of the Old Testament Laws. Salvation is by grace through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Eph. 2:8-9).

The Sabbath and OT Holy Days have to be re-interpreted in light of what Jesus did in the New Testament to fulfill them – such as Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost (First Fruits), and the Day of Atonement. Other Holy Days such as the Feast of Trumpets and Tabernacles are yet to be fulfilled at the Rapture and Second Coming of Messiah.

A good book I have read, which you may want to read is, “Messianic Judaism Is Not Christianity” by Stan Telchin. Stan is a believing Jew who also came out of the Messianic Movement and wrote some good biblical insights on the subject. He has also distanced himself from Messianic churches. As a result, He has received a lot of criticism for doing so, but I believe he was led of the Holy Spirit.

You are free to reprint this message if you like. You can also read a short devotional I wrote on this subject by going to:

Blessings to you and your wife Donna!

Dare To Dream – The Rebuilt Jewish Temple

Watch this amazing video below. Bible prophecy predicts that after this Third Jewish Temple is rebuilt and the sacrificial worship is restored, the Antichrist will appear on the world scene. Christians and Jews need to discern the signs of the times and be prepared spiritually and physically. We are closer to the second coming of Messiah Jesus than we think!

God’s last trumpet blast

Shofar Trumpet made of a Ram's horn

Shofar Trumpet made of a Ram's horn

Ancient biblical tradition holds that the resurrection of the dead will occur on the Feast of Trumpets being celebrated by Jews and Christians all over the world today. As a result, many gravestones are often engraved with an image of a Shofar Trumpet made of a ram’s horn. Both of these great future events are connected to the Rapture of believers in Messiah Jesus.

The apostle Paul stated, “Behold, I tell you a mystery: When Jesus the Messiah returns, we shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet of God. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (raptured)” – 1 Cor. 15:51-52.
